KRFC and friends, welcome to the 24/25 season.

KRFC and friends, welcome to the 24/25 season.

Peter May5 Sep 2024 - 14:22

As we embark on a fresh campaign, we need to do some admin on the club role changes that have taken place over the summer break.

Firstly, we welcome a new President for this season in former longtime Club Secretary: Peter May, he will continue looking after the Senior and Youth fixtures.

Taking over as Club Secretary we have Mark Byers who for a number of seasons has been our Mini/Junior Chairman, Mark will continue in his role with all things disciplinary.

Then we can formally announce new Club Captain and First XV leader Josh Cox who looks to literally lead from the front!

He follows an excellent tenure from Shane Ling who we offer our gratitude and thanks for excellent service; he will no doubt offer invaluable support to the new Captain this year.

An expanded coaching team overseen by Director of Rugby Dickie Heath, is led by new Head Coach Graham Wilson, who will be expectant heading into the first match following strong performances throughout the season program.

This weekend the 1st XV hit the road for a trip to Oadby Wyggs whilst the 2nd XV entertain Syston III and the Colts enjoy a home league match against Old Scouts.

This means we have plenty of rugby for everyone and we hope you can join us home or away with the usual great hospitality on offer at Waverley Road.

Sunday sees the full return of Mini-Junior rugby and our ‘Sunday Service’ so there is no excuse not to visit over the weekend.

Stay tuned for exciting news on our upcoming events, activities, and new features to be released soon.

Here’s to a great season – lets go Blues!!

Regard,
The Clubhouse Team
